Wow. Did I pick the wrong era to decide to go into newspapers. I mean, they’ve been around for hundreds of years. When I got into the biz, it looked like a gig I could ride to a 401k and a little cabana close to the ocean.
Wrong! Despite having spent more than 25 years as a graphic artist, writer, photographer and production manager for various newspapers and printing companies, these days every $299 Dell computer ships with easy-to-use apps that do everything at which I used to make my living. They do a worse job of it, but it saves money on graphic designers.
Lately I’ve been doing a lot of photography, mostly event photography, commitment ceremonies and private-party portraits. Current local business clients include Bandanna’s Running and Walking and Meridian Martial Arts Academy.
My wife wrote this part: Whether you’re looking for professional portraiture or photos of a monster truck rally; if you need compelling visual design, or even just someone to help you figure out what steps to take next in promoting your business or project, I’m here to help.
I wrote this part: I am definitely here to help. Thanks.
